- 99% faster board reports
- 6 hrs → ~50 sec to prepare a board report
- Live on Microsoft Azure
The challenge
KSKB is a Malaysian cooperative (koperasi). Like many co-ops, it ran on paper ledgers: member records, loans, dividends and approvals moved through forms, spreadsheets and manual checks. Pulling together a report for the board took around six hours.
The challenges we heard are common across Malaysian cooperatives:
- Paper-heavy processes that slow every approval and audit.
- Limited digital adoption among members who are used to visiting the office.
- Busy staff and understandable scepticism about yet another system.
- No foundation for AI: data spread across files that no model can use.
Starting with people, not code
Before a single line of code, we focused on human intelligence: KSKB’s members, their hurdles and the “why” behind their operations.

We built in short, iterative cycles and trained staff as each module arrived, so every step was adopted before the next one landed. That is the same human-first approach behind all our work: AI and automation should give people leverage, not replace them.
What KSKB runs on KoperasiIQ
KSKB now runs members, loans, dividends and e-invoicing on KoperasiIQ, our cloud platform for cooperatives on Microsoft Azure, with a member portal and staff workflows in one place. The platform covers:
- Members, shares and share certificates, issued in batches
- Loans with multi-level approvals
- Dividends, with previews before the AGM
- Accounting and LHDN e-invoicing
- Member notices over WhatsApp
- Dashboards that flag overdue loans and missing nominees
The result
Board reports are now generated from live data instead of being assembled by hand. What took about 6 hours takes about 50 seconds: a 99% reduction that saves staff most of a working day each time a board report is due, and gives the board current numbers instead of a snapshot.
What comes next
KSKB is on the road to becoming Malaysia’s first AI-first koperasi. With its data now in one place, AI can do useful work: the first deployment of our AI Financial Concierge (FinServX) is planned inside KoperasiIQ, bringing faster financing pre-approvals to cooperative members.
